Start with the experience.
A tool, game, or system should solve a real problem or create an experience worth having before technology gets to be impressive.
Big Boom Creations is an independent creative technology studio building original software, games, media, automation, and experimental digital products.
We start with the idea, problem, or experience worth exploring — then choose the technology that gives it the strongest form.
Some ideas become applications. Some need a browser, a game loop, a production system, or a completely different kind of interface. Big Boom Creations exists to give those ideas room to become what they should be instead of forcing everything into one lane.
That means the studio can move between practical software and playful experiments without losing the same standard: the thing has to be useful, understandable, interesting, or genuinely fun to use.
We use modern tools aggressively, including AI and automation, but they are part of the process rather than the point of the product.
A tool, game, or system should solve a real problem or create an experience worth having before technology gets to be impressive.
Early builds exist to answer questions. We test the core idea quickly, learn what matters, and keep the parts that earn their place.
Automation and AI are used to reduce repetitive work, accelerate iteration, and leave more room for creative and technical decisions.
Being able to publish something is not the same as being ready to. Public work should represent the standard behind the studio.
Big Boom Creations is led by Randy Shockley, a builder, developer, and creator whose work spans software, interactive experiences, digital media, automation, and practical technical problem-solving.
The studio is intentionally hands-on: ideas are researched, prototyped, tested, revised, and pushed toward something people can actually use or enjoy.
Big Boom Creations has multiple projects and experiments in active development. We intentionally keep much of that work private while ideas are being tested, names are being refined, and products are still earning their direction.
When something is ready to represent the studio publicly, it will get its own place here.
